Breaking: Senate Walks Back Effort to Block Grant SNAP

By a nearly 2-1 margin the Senate today tabled an amendment by Sen. Rand Paul (R, KY) to block grant the SNAP, formerly Food Stamp, program.

The vote was 65-33 with two abstentions.
